The Big Small Problem

Although tiny in size, plastic bottle caps are one of the biggest contributors to Australia’s marine plastic pollution problem.

Annually, approximately 130,000,000 kg of plastic leaks into the Australian marine environment with the three most common offenders being cigarettes, plastic bags and plastic bottles+caps.

Currently, only 13% of Australian plastic is recycled. We’re on a mission to better these statistics, one lid at a time. Read more about the stats here.

OUR PURPOSE

To enable positive impact through meaningful design.

Creating impact isn’t a checklist process. It’s a journey, one that’s never linear. It’s full of twists and turns, barriers and roadblocks. These are the things we break down, the things we bend, the things we flex. We focus on what’s between you and the impact you’re trying to create. Because that’s what drives us.

Impact looks different for every business and there is no one-cut approach to achieving it. We’re your partners on this journey. Bending the barriers between you and your vision, turning ideas into to a practical reality through meaningful design.

We’re not in the business of adding to the facade of helping. We’re in the business of real change. The business of enabling impact through meaningful design.

To do this, we need to get into the nitty gritty and understand how your business operates. We need to get under the hood and walk a mile in your shoes. This is key to our design process and ensures our work is truly meaningful. We know that an idea is not a solution until it enables impact.

At the end of the day it’s not about the product or system, it’s about the result.

OUR VALUES

Meaningful Design

Meaningful design is the only option for “real” design. Because real design means something that can a mile in an organisation’s shoes. Understanding not only the problems they’re facing now, but the problems they’re going to be facing down the line. We suggest solutions, not ideas.

Empowerment

We need to ensure that we are empowering businesses. While enabling is the action we have, empowerment is the feeling we provide. Our audience are seeking to cause change, to leave a mark, to have impact. We can become the bridge between this being a dream and a reality. If we are not empowering, we are failing.

Positive Impact

It’s vital that we further leverage the work we have done and align our business with those who are seeking to have a positive impact. The result of this is not only to do more meaningful work but to also attract those who want to improve and better the impact they are having.
